Useful information for Group Leaders

Guidance for indoor activities after 17/05/21
As from 17th May 2021 permitted activities can take place within Covid-secure venues within the capacity limits set. It is currently not known whether groups of people will still be required to socially distance from others not in their household. When social contact rules are issued it should then become possible to work out whether Covid-secure capacity limits can increase.
We have been advised that if  Step 3 proceeds as planned, u3as could organise multiple groups of 6 in the same space, as long as they do not interact with anyone outside the group of 6 they are attending with.

Change to Guidance to group leaders of outdoor activities (29/03/21)
u3a National Head Office have now updated their guidance for outdoor sports and activities.  You can now have bigger groups than 6 if the National Governing Body of your activity (e.g. Ramblers for walking groups)  has sanctioned bigger groups.

Group Leaders need to follow the guidelines of your National Governing Body – including risk assessments – no shared transport – staying local if possible. Below is the link to Ramblers guidance.  I am sure cycling will have the same guidance on their National Governing Body.

The other requirement from u3a is that you let a member of the committee know (ie Sarah) that you are starting up again.
