Joining U3A

Renewing your membership?

(for New members - see opposite )

Our U3A membership year runs from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020.

This year, you have 2 options for joining or renewing your membership. You can:

  • 1. RENEW OR JOIN ONLINE: Using the online renewal and payment system (now available HERE). It is quick and easy, thoroughly tested and saves queueing.
THIS IS THE METHOD WE PREFER - it saves us hours of work checking details, banking cheques etc.
  • 2. RENEW OR JOIN BY POST: Download, print and complete the MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FORM and post it with your payment (don't forget the CHEQUE), anytime before 31st March. See below.
  • 3. Later on, there will be the option to renew in person at a Renewals Day Meeting, usually held at the Methodist Hall rooms. Details to follow when available.

1. Join or renew membership ONLINE

We use an online application form and payment system, where you can simply fill in your application form online and make your payment online from any debit or credit card. It's quick and easy and is ready for use now.
Just CLICK THE VISA IMAGE on the left.

2. Joining or renewing by post.

You can start or renew your membership NOW using the postal form below. Membership will run from the date you join, right up to March 31st 2020.

<< Please click the image on the left to download a membership application form that you can print out, fill in and post off with your cheque. Membership costs £12 for the period to 31st March 2020.

When you join, you will receive an automatic email response which serves as your receipt and proof of membership (we no longer use paper membership cards).

Gift Aid declaration - important!

Wetherby and District U3A is a registered charity. This status has several advantages including the ability to recover tax paid by its members. If you are a taxpayer - from perhaps a pension or income on your savings, please sign the GiftAid declaration at the bottom of the form.
You don't pay a penny more but we receive more (we recover some of the tax you have paid) . The extra income will help us to provide more services in the future. Thanks.

Local U3As are learning cooperatives which draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members to organise and provide interest groups in accordance with the wishes of the membership.

The teachers learn and the learners teach.
